2013 First Communion Class at Pine Street Inn
While several families prepared and served the dinner for some 90 women guests, members of the First Communion class and their parents attended an information session conducted by Scottie Wait, Pine Street’s director of volunteer services. The children and their parents learned about the Inn’s programs to feed and shelter homeless men and women and to help them find permanent homes and work. This informational program, initiated several years ago by First Communion class catechist Mark Lippolt, introduces families to the Inn and prepares them for cooking and serving as part of Saint Cecilia’s social justice partnership with Pine Street Inn.
